It's time to sharpen up those memories of playing Capcom's 1989 arcade game Pang (or Buster Bros.).

How? Take a look at the remake's first screenshots. Yep, DotEmu and Pastagames have given us our first look at their revival of the game.

As you'll see, the look of the original has been retained but has been given a proper HD makeover. See all that shine and sheen.

You still play as one of the brothers as they fire harpoons above them to pop the balloons attacking the world's landmarks.

Scrutinize these screens

The screenshots show that two player is possible as another player only has to press a button to join in at any time. Keeping it simple is good.

it looks like you'll be able to grab power-ups, new weapons, and be encouraged to move fast to keep a combo meter going, too.

Oh, and there are weird alien bosses to take on, three play modes (tour, score, and panic), and levels that take place on planes in the sky.

Anyway, the two studios released these screens to celebrate that they'll be showing the game off at Paris Games Week today.

That takes place between October 29th and November 1st so if you're heading down to Paris between those dates perhaps try giving Pang Adventures a look.

Pang Adventures is coming to mobile, PC, and consoles in 2016. You can see the first screenshots below.
