A few weeks ago Tilt to Live developer One Man Left revealed that it was working on a brand new IP. It didn't have a name at the time (other than 'Game II'), but there was some concept art and a description: “a multiplayer-focused, turn-based strategy game for everyone.”

One Man Left has released the first screenshot, and given it a name: Outwitters.

The game will feature match-making and both asynchronous play and pass-the-handset play. It'll contain several races, the first of which to be fleshed out in the developer blog is the Feedback.

Also included are the Plant, Cuddly, and Robot races. Each race will have five unit types and an additional 'special' unit. For instance, the Feedback has the Scrambler, “an incredibly persuasive, cybernetic floating brain.”

The screenshot above (which isn't formatted to iPhone or iPad screen dimensions) features colour spaces called 'spawn points' and spaces containing flags, called 'capture spaces'. The level depicted is from the Feedback world. Other worlds will include a beach and a forest scene.

“Our goal” developer Adam Stewart says, “is to boil the strategy experience down to what’s most fun about it in our opinion, and to make a strategy game people can enjoy without having to take a class.”

We'll let you know when we have a release date and price.
