The survival horror sequel, Outlast 2, heads to Switch next week and our bodies are so ready
Not as good as the first, but still brill
For those horror fanatics out there who weren't satiated by Red Barrels' Outlast: Bundle of Terror, Outlast 2 will finally be jumping out at us on the Switch next week.
Though it's set in the same world as Outlast and Whistleblower, you won't be playing as the familiar protagonists, Miles Upshur and Waylon Park, but rather Blake Langermann, the cameraman of a husband x wife investigative journalism team.
After picking up the lead on the grisly murder of a pregnant woman, Jane Doe, your investigation leads you to the Arizona Desert and right into the lap of Sullivan Knoth and his twisted followers.
Playing Outlast 2 will certainly be familiar to those who've already delved into the games before. Armed with your camera, and the need to collect information and batteries, you'll put together your case whilst trying to avoid everything nasty coming your way.
There are moments during play where the same tedium sets in, but this time around delicate snippets of psychological horror and woven into the fray, and they're oh-so-good.
Outlast 2 lands on Nintendo Switch March 27th for £26.99/$29.99. If you're still umm-ing and ahh-ing about picking up the first bundle, check out our review of the game right here.
