Explore the lonely gorgeousness that is One Brutal Dungeon

Stardog Games has just released its first Android game... and it looks stunning.

One Brutal Dungeon is built from the ground up (barring one texture, we're told) and has been optimised for high-end devices, specifically the Nexus 7.

Furthermore, One Brutal Dungeon runs at a glorious 60 frames per second.

In One Brutal Dungeon, you'll be hunting through a lonely labyrinth in search of keys for - you guessed it - locked doors.

This in itself should be relatively straightforward. In this dungeon, however, there aren't any maps or conveniently placed glowing trails to follow.

In fact, the only way to gain any sense of direction is to place stones along the floor to create a makeshift breadcrumb trail.

Stardog can't be faulted for aiming big. It hopes this will be the first of many Dungeon games and wants the series to evolve into a "first-person Dark Souls, where each enemy is a serious challenge".

One Brutal Dungeon is out now on Google Play at a special launch price of 99p (normal price £1.49).

If you don't mind waiting a bit, however, and want to really feel like you are stuck in a dungeon with no hope of escape, there's an Oculus Rift version in the works.
