Okamiden for DS EU release date confirmed as March 18, 2011

Capcom has finally confirmed the EU release date for Okamiden on DS as being March 18th, 2011.

Okamiden is the sequel to the cult PS2 and Wii title, Okami, using the same Zelda-like gameplay and featuring a very small and cute version of the wolf (along with a pretty similar version of the Celestial Brush).

Paint a picture

Combining logic puzzles with action-RPG elements and exploration, Okamiden is looking like one of the last few major titles to see a release on the DS before the 3DS takes over as Nintendo’s premier system of choice, much as Okami found itself on the tail-end of the PS2’s reign.

While March may be an agonising wait for this potential Zelda beater, you can always burn up a little time by reading our preview of the game from E3.

Capcom has also released a Goblin Mask Facebook app, which enables you to draw a Okamiden themed funny face on your photos. It's vaguely based on one of the game's challenges.
