The creator of the cult classic Katamari series Keita Takahashi popped into a Tokyo Apple Store recently to show of his latest project for iPhone.

Noby Noby Boy originally came out as a downloadable PS3 game last year, and now Takahashi has a version running on the Apple device.

At present the game bears only a superficial resemblance to the original, which allowed you to manipulate a strange stretchy creature in an interactive 3D world. Judging by this footage, the iPhone version will be 2D and even more abstract than the original.

Noby Noby Boy will also, it appears, make use of the iPhone’s camera to allow you to paste snaps onto the interactive objects within the game.

There are four videos in total through here. Take a look and see if you can make any sense of it.
