Finally someone's kickstarting the PSP App Store

PlayStation Store docks with PSP space shooter No Gravity

While everyone's fussing about the future of UMD and whether the next portable from Sony will be PSP2 or PSP-4000, French developer Anozor is sneaking out No Gravity - The Plague of Mind.

So what, you might be thinking? Never heard of it.

And maybe that's the point. What PSP's really been lacking is cheap games that are only available digitally. A few have been released previously - such as Everyday Shooter - and we don't know how good No Gravity is yet - but at the moment, what we're really looking out for is the volume of releases on the PlayStation Store.

As for the game's details, it's an archetypal space shooter set across six worlds and 31 missions. You choose from five playable characters and five customisable ships (colour and weapons) and then head out into space to blow things up, accompany allied ships through hostile areas, and clear mine fields. You can play from the first or third person perspective, as you wish.

You can see a No Gravity gameplay video here.

No Gravity - The Plague of Mind is due to go live only on the European branch of the PlayStation Store on March 5th, priced at £8.99.
