Your Pocket Gamer People's Choice Award 2025 winner will be revealed this month in Cologne

Voting for the Pocket Gamer People's Choice Award 2025 has now closed, and the votes are being totted up. Who's going to take home the big prize? Well, you'll have to wait until the Mobile Game Awards later this month in Cologne on August 19th. And if you fancy attending, a few tickets are still floating around, so grab yourself one while you still can. It's always a great night.

And if you've missed our constant reminders about the event, here's a list of the games that are up for the People's Choice Award:

That's a strong lineup, I'm sure you'll agree. Recent years have been fantastic for mobile, especially the last 12 months, which is particularly evident by some of the missing big names. Dredge didn't make the cut, nor did Jump King, and that's merely two examples off the top of my head. It's moments like this that make me glad I'm not picking the winner. There's genuinely too much choice.

Tough competition

To highlight a few of the contenders, Balatro took the world by storm when it first appeared on the scene. The concept is mighty simple, yet the Joker system allows you to break the game in seemingly endless ways. Meanwhile, Bloons Card Storm became the latest entry in the storied series with Ninja Kiwi delivering as they always do, once again proving that the tower defence genre has plenty of life left. Elsewhere, we've seen several fantastic ports, including Lara Croft: Guardian of Light, Gordian Quest, and Sunset Hills.

Whoever takes home the crown on August 19th will have fought off some stiff competition, and that worthy winner will have been chosen by you. So, a massive thank you for taking the time to vote.
