iPhone game sales frenzy: Plants vs Zombies, Mos Speedrun, League of Evil for 59p/99c this weekend

It seems Gameloft’s recent (and still running) iPhone game sale has inspired a number of other iOS developers to follow suit, meaning discount-hunters will be spoilt for choice when it comes to quality App Store software this weekend.

Of particular interest is PopCap’s current sale. Crazy Dave’s Deal Days will see a new PopCap title get its price slashed every 48 hours. At the moment it’s seminal tower defence title Plants vs. Zombies, which is a total snip at 59p/99c.

Also available for the same amount is the addictive pixel-art platformer Mos Speedrun, which has had its regular price cut in two for this weekend only. Ravenous Games’s similarly stylish League of Evil is now similarly bargainous, too.

Next to bleep on our discount radar is side-scrolling action-RPG Samurai Girl, which has 66 per cent off for three days only. Meanwhile, cheerful puzzler Slice It! has, rather appropriately, also received a hefty cut to 59p/99c.

Lastly, chunky role-player Aralon: Sword and Shadow has had its price trimmed down, if not its substantial bulk. This epic undertaking will now set you back £2.99/$4.99 for a limited spell.
