iOS and Android Game of the Week - your vote needed
|

Every week, thousands of new games smash into the App Store and Google Play. Trying to pick out the diamonds amid the fragments of broken glass is no easy task.

We like to think we do a pretty good job with our news articles, mid-week round-ups, expert reviews, and comprehensive features, but we also want to know what YOU think.

Every Thursday, we're going to ask you to pick the best game released on iOS and Android that week (from the nominations below), and then we'll announce the winner in a glamorous article next Tuesday.

There are loads of places to vote. Leave a comment at the bottom of this article, reply to our Game of the Week tweet, or answer the poll on Facebook. Alternatively, you can whisper your vote into a newborn baby's ear.

The nominations
Star Command (iPhone, iPad) Design your very own Star Trek-style starship and set off on a danger-filled adventure across the galaxy with your hand-picked crew. That's your aim in this space-based simulation.
Sorcery! (iPhone, iPad) Take on the role of a lone warrior and recover the mysterious Crown of Kings in Sorcery! - an interactive adventure title that takes place across a gorgeous hand-drawn 3D map.
Paper Titans (iPhone, iPad) The mysterious titans have found themselves banished to the three corners of the even-more mysterious paper world, and it's your job to reunite them in this papercraft-inspired puzzler.
Zoombies: Animales de la Muerte! (iPhone, iPad) How do you defeat waves of undead zoo animals and ensure that they don't take over the planet? You swipe your finger over an iPhone screen and watch as your hatchet buries itself in their bodies, of course.
Dark Avenger (iPhone, iPad) An ancient evil has awoken from its slumber. You need to put it back to sleep. Permanently. Alternatively, you can spend countless hours beating your friends in PvP events.
Tentacle Wars (Android) Tentacle Wars is a very dark strategy game set in the immunodefence system of an infected alien species. You assume the role of some antibodies, and attempt to protect your alien hosts against attacks from invading pathogens.
