The fourth International Mobile Gaming Awards (IMGA) has signed up some big names to sponsor this year's contest.

The event's main sponsors are Adobe, Nokia and Movida, while additional support is coming from Qualcomm, Nvidia, AMD and the Belle de Mai Media Park in Marseille.

This year's IMGAs will have five categories: Excellence in Connectivity; Excellence in 3D; Excellence in Game Play; Best Licensed IP-based Game; and Best 2D Casual Game.

"This fourth edition will be broader, better and more competitive than previous years," says IMGA head honcho, Maarten Noyons. "Thanks to our sponsors and our partners, we will be able to reach a much larger number of innovators. We are determined to find the 25 best ideas for tomorrow's mobile games by October."

If you're a developer, there's still plenty of time to enter: the closing date is September 24th, with the 25-strong shortlist due to be announced at the end of October, in advance of the grand final in February next year.
