Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit out now for Android, temporarily exclusive to Xperia Play

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, the smartphone adaption of EA’s race ‘n’ chase console title, has been released on the Xperia Play.

For the time being the game is exclusive to the Play and can be bought from EA’s mobile store by sliding the phone out and selecting it on the Xperia games menu.

The game puts you at the wheel of a fugitive’s supercar as you speed away from the police, avoiding the long arm of the law for as long as possible or until you make good your escape.

Alternatively, you play as the cops and pursue the criminal using a variety of police tactics like spike strips and road blocks.

It features 20 cars and 24 events. As with all purchases from the EA Store, the game will give you a one hour trial. After that it will cost about $7.
