June release for PSP Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2

While it's good to know the latest version of a game based on the hit anime series Naruto and to be released on the PSP will offer "full-blown battles with brand new jutsu and animation, an exclusive storyline and wireless multiplayer action", we're still trying to deal with the exacting nature of the title.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2: The Phantom Fortress - two semi colons, no less.

Of course, once you get around to unpicking the mouthful, its logic can be teased out. It's part of the beat-'em up Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes series; a sequel in fact. Even The Phantom Fortress bit is more than just the marketing fluff added to try and break simple websites' databases. It's all to do with mysterious flying fortress that's descended onto the Hidden Leaf Village (stupid us!).

You - as demon-possessed, sometime nice guy Naruto - must enter the fortress, uncover the hidden plot, unlock characters on the way up the 100 floors of the Phantom Fortress, and ultimately defeat the enemy and unveil the explosive ending.

As well as the single player MUGENJO Mode, you can delve into five others; including Naruto Points Mode for obtaining and viewing unlockable items, and two-player team-based Wireless Battle Mode.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2: The Phantom Fortress has been picked up by Atari for European release and will heading onto shop shelves in July.
