Flipping Great

Yet more mana for pocket pinball wizards

Flipping Great

You don’t see many pinball machines in pubs these days – they’ve seemingly all been replaced by quizzers, video jukeboxes and binge-drinking teenagers. We guess that’s progress for you. Thankfully the mobile phone has stepped in fill the gap and keep pinball fans flipping with a host of themed titles.

Gameloft is the latest publisher to jump onto the bandwagon, with its new Mystery Mansion Pinball. The game only features one table to play on, but it’s got all the usual ramps, bumpers and tilt-ability you’d expect, plus a spooky theme that gives you werewolves, monsters and mad scientists.

Gameloft has also included some mini-games which are played on the LED screen of the virtual table, which is a neat touch – albeit one already seen in InfoSpace’s Pub Pinball, but nice nonetheless. Expect it to be pinging away in your pocket this January.
