Mobile phones aren't the greenest devices on the planet, let's face it. Not least because millions are discarded every year as people upgrade to shiny new models.

However, I-play wants to change the eco image of the humble mobile, with a new game called My Happy Planet. It's a collection of mini-games, all based around the theme of saving the planet by keeping pollution levels down.

There are four different mini-game mechanics involved, each based on a traditional casual game (in short: Whack-a-Mole, Puzzle Bobble, Breakout, and Conveyor Belt games).

Oh, and farting cows are involved too. There is a scientific justification for this, but really, you shouldn't need an excuse to include bovine flatulence in a mobile game.

My Happy Planet is due out soon.
