Muramasa Rebirth's first DLC is out in the US, coming to Europe next week
Details on second DLC pack surface as well
The Bronze Award-winning Vanillaware slasher Muramasa Rebirth has received the first of four planned DLC packs in the US with a release in Europe to follow net week.
Dubbed Fishy Tales of the Nekomata, this DLC pack follows the story of a young girl named Okoi who transforms into a vicious cat-like demon and uses her claws to dispatch foes.
Players can use Okoi to fight bosses from the main Muramasa Rebirth storyline after they clear the DLC story missions which, incidentally, also hide six trophies among them.
Fishy Tales of the Nekomata is available on the US PlayStation Network now for $4.99 (~£3).
FarmstrongMeanwhile in Japan, Muramasa Rebirth players already have access to the second DLC pack called Uprising of the Oone Resistance.
Siliconera reports that players will have the chance to play as a country bumpkin named Gonbei - which is a far, far cry from the svelte figure of Okoi the Nekomata.
Gonbei fights with an impressive arsenal that includes a bamboo spear, a sickle, and - how we wish we were kidding - the ghost of his dead wife.
Also, his childhood friend Tagosaku and the village strongman, Moheji, will occasionally show up to help Gonbei when his battle attack gauge is shining.
Aksys hasn't announced when Uprising of the Oone Resistance will make its way to the US or Europe, but we'll keep you updated if we hear anything.
