Monster Hunter Portable 3 loose on PSP December 1st

Capcom has confirmed December 1st as the PSP launch date for Monster Hunter Portable 3.

A number of new features have been unveiled in this week’s Famitsu for the latest instalment of this RPG franchise.

These include a new creature with the peculiar name of White Rabbit Beast Urukususu, which can glide over ice. There’s a brand new feudal Japan-style base of operations, too, called Yukumo Village.

You’ll also be able to customise your Felyne's equipment, and you can have two Felynes at a time accompany you on quests this time around.

The release is huge news in Japan, where Capcom reports that Freedom Unite, the last title in the series, has sold 4 million units since March 2009.

We’ll bring you any word on a western release date as soon as it surfaces.
