Given the privileges of living in a modern democracy, everyone has a duty to exercise their right to… punch politicians in the face? This, at least, is the message of The Mobile Ring, a new game from Cellufun.

It's a tongue-in-cheek boxing game featuring US presidential candidates, including Clinton and Obama, but also Rudy Giuliani and other hopefuls in the 2008 election race.

There's also some neat connected aspects, with players able to upload their high scores to Cellufun's leaderboards. This isn't just for bragging rights, though: future updates of the game will tweak the politicians' boxing abilities to match how popular they are among players of the game.

Cellufun is also allowing players to vote new politicians into the game, as well as other public figures, TV pundits and even current presidents (i.e. YouKnowWho).

The publisher claims The Mobile Ring is "the first political boxing game available for free on a mobile phone", which is strictly true since Glu's 2004 game Bush vs Kerry Boxing was a commercial title.

The game's available to download for free at wap.cellufun.com from your mobile browser.
