Beauty is in the camera phone of the beholder
AMA just dropped us a line to tell us all about its forthcoming beauty pageant game, Miss Drama Queen. The twist with this reality-style adventure game is that it’s intention is to viciously lampoon the beauty show tradition, and from what we can tell, it does it with real teeth.
The slogan of the game really sums things up: “Help an everyday girl prove she has the wit, talent and charm to become a beauty queen”.
And so you step into the sparkling high heels of a bumbling contestant, and try to cover up for her blunders through nine different mini-games, such as testing her shopping skills, intelligence, cheerleading abilities, cooking and juggling.
“The look and feel of the app, the story and the mini-games are purposely designed to show the funny, kitsch and embarrassing side of what beauty pageants can turn out to be, while at the same time giving the user the chance to save the day by performing well at each test,” says AMA.
Despite the scathing theme, Miss Drama Queen will still embrace modern features such as touchscreen enabled phones, so keep an eye out for its appearance any time now.
