Mini Metro is a unique mobile strategy game that involves train subway systems. It's a mind tester that allows you to create in your own way. The goal is to create the perfect railroad set-up and have everything running as flawlessly as possible without the collision of train cars.

It's a very minimal game as the main thing you can do is just connect the roads and that's part of its charm. It also features beautiful colours and these will pop out heavily once you really start putting things together. Even in the beginning, you will notice how vibrant the lines look.

The game tests your strategic skills as we mentioned but can also be quite relaxing as well. Again, there's nothing over the top about it. It's just the lines and certain obstacles such as rivers and your creativity on how you want to build your subway empire.

Probably one of the coolest things about Mini Metro is when you're finished with a system. You'll then have a beautiful subway map that you can share with others. It's almost as if you created a piece of art. In this article, we give you a few tips that can help you on your subway designing adventures.

Remember to Adapt to City Growth

Mini Metro tips for lines

In Mini Metro, it's more than just creating paths for trains. You also have to be mindful of changes that occur in the city. This can happen at random and can change after each day passes. Whether it's new structures or things like ponds, it's about keeping things on track (well, quite literally).

You can change the path of some of your lines if needed. If you feel they are off-track and are going in a direction you don't want them to, then you can steer those puppies in the best direction. You don't want any confusion or potential collisions, of course.

So just keep your eyes peeled. It's fun though to see things grow and change all around you while you connect the tracks. Things don't go too fast so you'll have time to strategize a bit along the way. Just keep this in mind as sometimes it can be slightly easy to forget with so much focus being on the roads themselves.

Take Screenshots of The Map

So you will be redesigning some of the world's most famous subway systems including London's, New York's, and Chicago's, among others. They show you what they're supposed to look like before you dive in but it can be easy to forget the layout right away.

Feel free to take a screenshot using your device's built-in screen grabbing feature or by using an app that does so. Then, you're free to go back and forth between the image you took and your map. If you don't want to ruin the challenge but just check your screenshot periodically.

If you don't feel like taking a screenshot then consider searching for the map layouts on Google or Bing and do a little tracing with that. Again, only peak from time to time if you feel like you really want a challenge or are super stuck.

Tweak The Settings if Needed

This seems like a very minor thing in Mini Metro but you can head into the settings and change a couple of things that can benefit things visually. For one, you can either leave on Light Mode or turn on Night Mode, which has become popular on social media and some games.

If you enjoy Light Mode then perfect. But if you feel the brightness of the mode is affecting the way you see the game and is slightly distracting you, then turn on Night Mode to give your eyes a bit more comfort and possibly more focus because of that.

Also, Mini Metro is full of vibrant and beautiful colours but if you're colourblind, it may throw you off a little. Well, you're in luck my train steering friend because there is a Colourblind Mode that you can switch on. Again, these are small things but going into settings isn't always a top priority, so this is a reminder that there are a couple of helpful options for you that can be pleasing for the eyes and help you perform better.
