Mecha Arena celebrates four years with a free mech for everybody
  • Mech Arena is celebrating four years since launch
  • A free mech and other rewards are being made available
  • And a new developer roundtable offers a glimpse behind the curtain

For fans of Mech Arena, Plarium's long-running multiplayer mech shooter, today will be a red-letter day. That's because Mech Arena is celebrating four years since launch, with 80 million downloads to date. What's in store? Well, plenty of free rewards and other reasons to check in on Mech Arena, naturally.

The anniversary celebrations themselves kick off today and run through to August 28th. There's a massive lineup of exclusive content that you'll want to check in on, including special Crate Rushes and limited-time Derby Events.

But perhaps the most interesting to those of you who're either starting out in Mecha Arena or jumping into it for the first time will be the brand-new free mech available everyone. It'll be made available via an in-game promo code and promises a big boost to your roster.

It's not just the typical in-game events to celebrate either. You'll be able to get a look behind the scenes with a developer roundtable with the design team. Meanwhile, Mech Arena-themed trivia and crossword challenges offer further bonus rewards.

The events here offer plenty of rewards for loyal players, as well as plenty of reasons to check in. I've no doubt many of you who've been following Mecha Arena since it first launched four years ago will also be interested in getting a glimpse behind the curtain. And even if you don't care about any of that, well, who's going to turn down a free mech?

Once you've had the chance to dig into Mecha Arena, you might be wondering about some of the other top launches you might've missed out on. Well, you never need to worry about that. Simply go ahead and check in on our regular feature of the top five new mobile games to try this week!
