Stunning platformer Max: The Curse of Brotherhood heads to mobile

Great news today for fans of story-driven platformers as Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is set to release October 18th on the App Store.

Originally released all the way back in 2013, the game recently got a Switch port which we reviewed at the time, praising it for its stunning variety of levels and mostly solid gameplay foundations.

The game sees you adventuring through a dangerous fantasy world in an attempt to save your younger brother. The twist is that you're the one who put him there by use of a magical spell.

At its core, it's a fairly simple platformer enhanced by the inclusion of a magic marker of sorts. This mechanic allows you to create and destroy objects throughout the world whilst also acting as your primary means of defence.

This new mobile version maintains the attractive fantasy aesthetic of the original release which is important as the visuals were a big part of what made the original game a memorable experience.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is definitely one worth checking out if you missed it on Switch, so be sure to look for it come October 18th when it releases onto the App Store.
