The recently launched card-battler Marvel Snap has announced the release of its first season of content, this one themed after the fictional nation of Wakanda - which any Marvel fan worth their salt will recognise. This season is likely in celebration of the Wakanda Forever movie.

With this season comes what is essentially a battle-pass manner of progression. This one’s pretty typical, similar to the battle passes seen within games like Fortnite or PUBG, and with the same option to purchase the premium version of the pass for a light $9.99. Free-to-play players will still be able to grab some rewards through progressing this pass, but the real good stuff is reserved for that fee.

As for what the season itself brings in terms of new cards, the big addition is the new Black Panther card. Sitting at a five energy and four power stat, he has a Reveal ability that doubles his Power. It’s a relatively basic ability, but one that could be combo’d with plenty of other cards for devastating effect.

Along with the new card, we’ve also got some new Locations that will be seen within your matches. These are Shuri’s Lab, Warrior Falls, Vibranium Mines, and the Wakandan Throne, all of which will be added to the rotating list of Locations for you to encounter in matches. These effects have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned to see what they all do and how they’ll switch up your average match.

The Warriors of Wakanda season is currently available within Marvel Snap, so if you’re looking to dig your teeth into this new content and grab those Premium Pass rewards, you can download Marvel Snap for free at either of the links below this article!
