Marvel Snap launches the brand new X-Men-focused season of content, Days of Future Past

As the Quantuamania season comes to an end within Marvel Snap, the next season seeks to bring the X-Men to the game in full force. Themed after the Days of Future Past movie specifically, this new season sees the realisation of the grim future in which Sentinels take over the planet and begin to hunt down the mutants one by one until none remain. Gameplay-wise, we’ll be seeing lots of new cards, new mechanics, and new decks to dig into!

Marvel Snap has taken the world by storm, landing between the more complex card games available out there like Magic: The Gathering and simpler games like Hearthstone to even out into a perfect middle ground for players looking for depth without frustrating and obtuse mechanics. Now, with the Days of Future Past season launched, it would appear the game is hoping to introduce some new mechanics, but keep the simple and fast-paced gameplay it’s known for.

We’re still waiting for official patch notes to give the rundown on, but for now, we do know a few of the new cards that they teased before the season began. For example, we’ve got Nimrod, a 5-cost 5-power card that copies itself when destroyed, allowing for an endless field of card pressure as long as you can afford it. Or perhaps the new Kitty Pryde card, a 1-cost 0-power which can then be returned to your hand to gain 2-power. And those are just a few of the early revealed additions, so who knows what other crazy new cards are in the game now.

Marvel Snap seems to be updated quite frequently with new seasons, new cards, and new mechanics just about monthly at the absolute minimum, so this one’s a fantastic choice for any card game lover who wants something a bit quicker and easier to understand.
