Mario Kart 7 getting its own dedicated online channel on 3DS
Nintendo looking to build a strong community for the game
The upcoming 3DS Mario Kart 7 title will receive its own special game channel on the Nintendo 3DS main menu, similar to the channel available on Nintendo Wii for Mario Kart Wii.
Through the channel, players will be able to choose online races via StreetPass, and race against up to seven other players through a 'ghost' system.
Nintendo explained that it is looking to build a rich community for the game via this online functionality, by making it as easy as possible for users to play and communicate with one another through the game.
