Nickelodeon’s popular music group Big Time Rush will bring Nintendo's Mario Kart 7 along for the ride this summer as they tour across the United States.

From July 5th to August 5th, concertgoers at select Big Time Rush shows will have the opportunity to play Mario Kart 7 on special 3DS demo stands provided by Nintendo.

While the association between Big Time Rush - a US based boy band - and Mario Kart 7 may not be an obvious one, Nintendo’s Scott Moffitt believes that it the game and the band have a lot in common, "The frenetic fun of Mario Kart 7 makes a great match with the band's energetic music."

"The chance to get hands-on with Nintendo 3DS will make each of these concerts even more memorable for attendees, whether they're experienced gamers or newcomers."

Big Time Rush also star in the eponymous TV series Big Time Rush, now in its third season on the Nickelodeon network.
