Level-5 announces Professor Layton's successor, Lady Layton, coming next year to 3DS

A very exciting post on NeoGAF has revealed that Professor Layton's successor will be his beloved daughter Lady Layton in the upcoming Nintendo 3DS title.

So far we can tell from the trailer, the game follows Lady Layton as she takes after her deal-old-dad to solve this instalment's mysteries – complete with an adorable canine comrade. Move over, Tintin.

It would seem that Level-5 has decided against mobile exclusivity for now and are bringing this title back onto the Nintendo 3DS as well as releasing iOS and Android versions.

So far as we know Lady Layton is set for release next year but no Western date has been confirmed as of yet.
