Every level in Labyrinth City is based on a hand-drawn image done by Kamigaki and IC4DESIGN themselves, and then brought to life by Darjeeling to give it an authentic ‘video game feel’. The whole game is actually a passion project, born from the studio’s love for the original books, and has already earned awards such as the IndieCade 2020 Visual Design award and the Game Connection Asia 2020 Best Quality of Art award.

As for what each level contains, you can expect a series of puzzles to appear through different incredibly detailed scenes, including tasks such as finding your way out of a maze, completing minigames and finding hidden clues to progress. Each one will also be loaded with eccentric characters, animations and fun interactions.

Whether you're a fan of the original comic book series or enjoy puzzle games in general, this one seems a great fit.

Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective will be heading to the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store later this summer, as well as on Nintendo Switch and PC. We will update you once we know a solid release date.
