Fresh off the heels of Kingdom Rush 5: Alliance landing on Apple Arcade earlier this month, Ironhide Game Studio is back with something a little different. Kingdom Rush Battles, the first multiplayer entry in the long-running tower defence series, has officially soft-launched in the Philippines, Indonesia, Canada, and Uruguay.
Kingdom Rush Battles brings a new spin on the series by putting PvP into the spotlight. You’ll face off against other players in real-time 1v1 duels, building your own defence while pushing back waves to overwhelm your opponent. Each match is a tug-of-war of strategic positioning, spell timing, and just the right amount of chaos.
You’ll have access to 18 towers from across the series, everything from paladin knights to mad scientists, and can mix in 11 heroes and nine spells to create your loadout. Emotes let you taunt or celebrate in real time, while 30 tactical boosters let you shake up the battlefield mid-match.
The arenas range from classic forests and mountains to a PvP-exclusive Stadium where top-ranked players fight for leaderboard glory. You’ll also take on six boss battles and over 30 different enemies with their own tricks, so your defences need to be sharp.
Progression comes through daily and weekly missions, loot-filled chests, and battle rewards. And because this is Ironhide, the presentation carries the same crisp art and humour the series is known for, just with a bit more trash talk.
