New iOS snakebite simulator Killer Snake is only missing one thing: a great big "don't try this at home" disclaimer.

Basically, because it's a game where you play chicken with deadly snakes.

In Killer Snake, you hold your finger on the screen as the fearsome reptile prepares to attack. The snake then coils back like a spring waiting to be sprung, and fakes you out with erratic head movements and false lunges.

But as soon as the snake strikes, you better take your finger off the screen - or prepare to get bitten.

The longer you leave it, the higher your score. You also score points based on how much you provoked the slithering beast in the first place. But you'll lose your "fear factor" score multiplier if you remove your finger too early.

Killer Snake

There are ten terrifyingly realistic snakes - spread across five locations - including the black mamba in Africa, the taipan in Australia, and diamondback rattlesnakes in the dusty deserts of North America.

Danish dev Copenhagen Creators says it will add more countries and environments in the future.

Plus, it plans to introduce new creatures: "Animals that tend to evoke fear and phobias in people because of their sometimes deadly attributes."

We've got one word for you, Copenhagen Creators: sharks.

Anyway. Killer Snake could not be described as deep, complex, or sophisticated. But there's a compulsive, primal thrill to outsmarting these elongated reptiles.

So, unless you're a yellow-belly, lily-livered chicken, you should try this free-to-play game when it hits iOS at midnight.
