App Army Assemble: Jurassic GO - Dinosaur Snap Adventures
Pokemon Snap on the GO
Remember Pokemon Snap? The N64 classic that had you dashing around Pokemon Island taking snaps of your favourite Pokemon? Well, this isn't that. But it takes the core concept and instead makes you photograph dinosaurs. Because dinosaurs are cool.
Your ultimate goal is to fill the Dino Museum with photos of these prehistoric critters, taken in swamps, rivers, and badlands. You can upgrade your camera and gear to take better shots, and your vehicles to reach previously inaccessible terrain.
Or, if you find these critters simply too adorable - and they seriously are adorable - you can just play with them. Toss goofballs (whatever those are) or play the harmonica to lure them out and keep them happy.
If this all sounds appealing, you can get it right now, as Jurassic GO - Dinosaur Snap Adventures launched today on iOS. Check out the PG review for our thoughts.

ChanandlerI'm quite enjoying this. Only played for about an hour so far but it seems to be a decent, fun little time waster. The visuals are a bit basic and I often accidentally take photos when swiping the camera around but apart from that it's pretty good.
I keep waiting for some sort of F2P shenanigans to show up but it looks like this is a good old fashioned premium game. (That it is! - Ed.)
GGod HandThis game is a bundle of fun. It plays a bit like Pokemon Snap on N64, where you take on rail tours snapping photos of dinosaurs. The art style is cute, so I imagine it will be very popular with children.
The goal is to take specific pictures of the dinosaurs. Getting a perfect picture is a bit challenging since the game requires a very specific criteria of size, spot, and angle.
My only complaint is that the tours feel too short and the button to take a picture doesn't work while you're moving the camera. It's a bit fiddly trying to stop all movement to take a snap when you're constantly in motion.
That being said, this is a decent game in general.

I like the game overall. The idea is great, the movement is slick, and the graphics are perfect for the setting. The only problem is that the photo matching is a bit obtuse. The difference between a bad shot and a pro shot seems completely arbitrary.
It's also nice that I've not actually been asked to buy anything so far!

I really like how relaxing the animations are. This is a welcome break from all the serious action games out there. Kids will definitely love it because the dinosaurs are cute. Picture taking takes some getting used to but it's not a hindrance to enjoyment for me.
