Jetpack Joyride gets a canine companion in latest update

You can't accuse Halfbrick of sitting back and resting on its laurels when it comes to its iOS back catalogue.
First, Fruit Ninja gets a major update, and now Jetpack Joyride has once again received some love in the form of another content expansion.
This time around, the main addition is Flash (awwww), a robot canine companion that can grab coins and - brilliantly - sits on the nose of your metal dragon. Like a boss.
In addition, there's now a "Dezapinator" gadget available to purchase. This gizmo causes those annoying electrical gates to occasionally fail to spark. You can also now purchase Turbo Boost: a flying contraption that "drops boost rings, flinging you forwards in a destructive explosion".
Finally, Halfbrick has added a pair of DJ Headphones to the in-game shop's inventory. In case you were getting tired of your current look in the game, you see.
Jetpack Joyride managed to secure a Pocket Gamer Gold Award on release last year, so it's well worth checking out. It's currently available on the App Store for free.
