Out at midnight: Jellies! will have you finding Bob's severed fingers by matching elastic jellyfish
Stretch those limbs
Jellies! is about finding the severed fingers of a man called Bob. They've been taken by jellyfish, and so you set out to rake the lakes of all its gelatinous creatures.
It's not your usual colour-matching puzzler, then. The oddities of Jellies! doesn't stop there.
You see, this is about matching jellyfish of the same colour. But there are no tiles and no grids.
Instead, the jellyfish swim freely around the screen as you attempt to match them up. You do this by pulling stretchy tentacles between the jellyfish that snap with elasticity if you let go.
This matching mechanic brings a tangibility and satisfying feel to the game that swapping tiles in a grid just doesn't offer.
On top of that, there's also a Disco Mode (and other power-ups) that triggers if you match enough jellyfish in big combos.
Jellies! has three different game modes. One gives you 60 seconds to get a high a score as possible. There's also an endless mode for more relaxing play.
The last one is Battles, but that is yet to be added to the game.
If you want to find Bob's fingers you can so when Jellies! arrives on the UK and US App Stores at midnight. It'll cost you £1.49 / $1.99.
