Updated 11th August, 10:09 AM: After a bit of a lengthy wait, It's a Space Thing is now out on iOS and Android for all of you space-loving retro-heads.

Brad Erkkila is back. After the unique pixel art battler Pixelchamps, he's looking to publish a new mobile game this summer, called It's a Space Thing, and this time it's a retro arcade shooter.

You control a small astronaut that can only move left and right and must defend himself from every enemy located above him. He can either fire a laser of create multiple shields. It sounds simple but it looks really fun in motion:


Brad says that he focused mainly on making sure the shooting was fun and frantic and it shows! On top of that, there's going to be a local multiplayer mode and I can't wait to try it with a friend.
