Editors’ Notes
Fending off space invaders used to mean firing pokey laser blasts at aliens and ducking behind shields. It’s a Space Thing cranks that idea up to 11 in space combat that’s as hilarious as it is frantic. The ultra-responsive controls got us loving the single-player mode, but head-to-head battles keep us coming back to take on our friends.
Awesome game, but controls don’t always work
I love this game and I can tell that I will be playing for a long time, but as soon as I hopped in, I found out that sometimes when you move or place a shield it doesn’t work and you have to try the control button again. This can make it hard to do whatever you are trying to do. I will anticipate the button not working and so I press it twice, but then, it just so happens that I moved the first time I pressed the button and then I am dead.
Glitchy
This game is really fun, but for some reason it glitches out when I try to play two player. For P1 after the first round it doesn’t allow him to use his shield no matter who won that round, but P2 can always use shields no matter what round it is. This leaves an unfair advantage to P2, so I had to devise the rule “no shields after the first round.” And I always have to explain why. But yeah it’s a good game, I like it a lot.
