SGN's F-Zero-style Ion Racer will warp onto the App Store tomorrow
And it won't WipEout your wallet
SGN has just released its new F-Zero-esque game Ion Racer onto the New Zealand App Store, meaning that it won't be long before it zooms into the UK and US.
If you glance down at the trailer below, you will see that Ion Racer is a futuristic hover car racer in which you have to negotiate a series of courses by either tilting your iOS device or swiping your sweaty fingers over the touchscreen.
Welcome to the futureYou can upgrade your ship using the in-game currency (Kions), which you earn by completing tracks and racking up high scores, and you can compete against friends on leaderboards via Game Center.
Ion Racer supports the new iPad's Retina display, so if you're a fan of seeing swish intergalactic graphics flying past you in a blur of colour and speed in high definition, start getting excited.
Ion Racer will speed onto the UK and US App Stores at midnight this evening as a Universal app, priced 69p / 99c.
