SuperGaming, the studio behind hits like MaskGun and Silly Royale announced its latest project, Indus, a futuristic indo battle royale, back in February 2022. Since then, several playtests have been held alongside pre-registration going live on Google Play. The title has now crossed the seven million milestone and has just revealed more information about an upcoming esports tournament.

On October 28th, Indus will host its first-ever competitive tournament, called the Indus Esports Invitational. Six popular teams have been invited, namely Orangutan, Godlike Esports, Team 8bit Global Esports, Enigma Gaming, and Reckoning Esports.

They will be accompanied by several other Indus content creators, community members, and winners from previously held playtests. Winners will be awarded prize money ranging from 500,000 INR for the winners, followed by 250,000, 100,000, and 50,000 INR for the runners-up, and third and fourth place respectively. The MVP gets another 100,000 INR as well.

The whole of Virlok will be available for the tournament, which is Indus’ immersive map. It comes with more streamlined controls, design balances, and improvements to the visuals and animations. This will be the fifth time the game is open to the public and as always, all feedback gathered here will be used to enhance the experience for players.

Speaking about the response Indus has received, SuperGaming CEO Roby John, commented: “We’re thankful for the community’s response to Indus. Since our last community playtest in our studio, we feel we’re ready to see how the game performs in competitive environments featuring India’s best teams. We’re grateful for their support in building India’s most ambitious battle royale to date.”

Pre-registrations for Indus will continue on Google Play but eager players can also snag a chance to win a key for the ongoing closed beta. The official Discord channel just frequent key drops so keep an eye out for them.
