French publisher Gameloft has just released build-'em-up Ice Age Village on Apple's New Zealand App Store, meaning it'll be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

This free-to-play social title charges you with helping Sid, Manny, Diego, and Ellie construct a village for a bunch of refugee animals, who have been left homeless following an unexpected cataclysmic rift.

As you play through Ice Age Village, complete mini-games, help out your friends, and earn enough experience to level-up, you'll unlock new creatures, fresh buildings, and unique decorations from the Ice Age universe.

Gameloft has promised that further content, including new quests and sneak peeks at the upcoming Ice Age: Continental Drift movie, will be added to the mix every two weeks.

Head on over to the App Store at midnight this evening to download the Universal Ice Age Village for free.
