Next turn

The Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning strategy title Hunters: Episode One impressed us back on release with its tactical action, but we were left a little disappointed by the disconnected structure to the missions.

In the line of fireAlong with a structured story, Hunters 2 boasts some seriously impressive-looking top-down graphics, which are a massive improvement on the original's grey and black hues.
These visuals are supported by the same turn-based tactical gameplay as the first game's. So, the game revolves around your team of mercenaries blasting all kinds of foe back whence they came, and utilising various familiar rules, such as line of sight and fog of war.
War chestThere's a new complement of 100+ bits of kit to use this time around, too, and a crafting system to "go deep" into creating your own equipment.
If you're really hardcore, you can also choose to have your characters die permanently, Fire Emblem style.
Hunters 2 will be available as a Universal app in the UK and US App Stores from midnight this evening, priced £2.99 / $4.99.
