Honkai Impact 3rd's v5.5 Equinox Gate update goes live next week, concluding the Post-Honkai Odyssey alongside numerous events

miHoYo has just announced the launch of a major content update for their mobile action game Honkai Impact 3rd. Arriving next week, on February 24th is Honkai Impact 3rd’s v5.5 update titled Equinox Gate. Players will witness the climax of the Post-Honkai Odyssey and it can be enjoyed with a better combat experience. The update also introduces Bianka, the first Valkyrie with two forms. Furthermore, new seasonal events will go live next week as well.

This update will see Bianka, who is Schicksal's strongest Valkyrie, transform into Palatinus Equinox, a Valkyrie with dual forms. Her black form is representative of the Active Honkai Reaction from her paternal Kaslana family, and her white form showcases the holiness of her maternal Schariac family. What makes Bianka so strong is the combination of these two bloodlines. They complement each other like yin and yang and this lets her surpass the Active Honkai Reaction.

Bianka becomes the first IMG-type Physical DPS who can alternate between her Guardian and Knight forms at will. In her Guardian form, she takes a defensive stance with a shield and in the Knight form she can walk, trot, gallop, and sprint everywhere. She can perform a special attack in her Flash state and her ultimate guarantees a critical hit. Meanwhile, another guardian of the bubble universe, Rita, receives her own Astral Harness: Spina Astera, which is a mech-type fire battlesuit that can massively damage enemies.

Mei and Carole of Squad 3 will make their return with this update to wrap the Post-Honkai Odyssey. Additionally, Dea Anchora and Silverwing also receive new outfits. Players can also win loads of free rewards thanks to numerous login events and the Spring Treasure. These include the S-rank battlesuit Spina Astera and many other items. Finally, the Honkai Carnival – Honkai Impact 3rd Fandom Celebration 2022 will go live a couple of days after v5.5, on February 26th.
