Reach for the stars

Helium Boy floats onto Xperia Play

Gravity-defying 3D platformer Helium Boy has been optimised for the Xperia Play.

The game snuck onto the Xperia Play launcher last week along with a remake of Commodore 64 platformer Giana Sisters and Glu Mobile’s Eternity Warriors.

Helium Boy sees you pumping up balloons and using them to navigate a bright 3D world in search of stars. You have to avoid ninjas, birds, and other environmental obstacles while the automatically scrolling screen forces you to keep moving from left to right. The game comes with eight stages, including two classic side-scrolling levels. You can pick it up for £1.49 now on the Android Market [buy].
