Spongebob: Mr Krabs Mini Cable Guy review - "He's smaller than expected!"
|
  • Nice model of Mr. Krabs
  • Can hold your smaller gaming items
  • Looks cool in your gaming set-up

Cable Guys have been adding more and more varied characters in its lineup lately - it seems they're all just waiting to hold your favorite gaming hardware. This specific one is of SpongeBob's Mr. Krabs - a mini holdems who can hold something on the smaller side, like a pair of earbuds in their case.

They feel like the perfect size for a smaller gaming set-up, which doubly makes sense as Mr. Krabs does feel like a supporting character in SpongeBob's world.

Spongebob: Mr Krabs Mini Cable Guy with the background on the character

The Mr. Krabs Mini Cable Guys does have a sort of podium base - you can peel off the outer wrapping of the packaging so that you can have a background for your mini to sit on. This will limit the length of what you are placing in your mini's hands, but the background is quite fun!

When I opened my Mr. Krabs Mini Cable Guys, I was delighted by the quality of the mold. The proportions are fantastic, and I do like all of the details. Mr. Krabs has a wad of cash hanging out of his pocket at the back, adding a cute little detail.

The paint job on this specific Mini Cable Guys isn't as good as previous ones I have received - there were a few scuff marks and missing bits of paint here and there, which was a bit of a letdown, but if you look further, there isn't an obvious way to notice them.

Look at the money in the back pocket of Mr. Krabs

I did find the overall use of the mini to be limited, as my entire phone covered Mr. Krab's face and eyes, but it's such a cute holder for my earbuds - I can see it holding my Nintendo Switch controllers as well. We have some big SpongeBob fans in our household, which is exactly who this is aimed for!

SpongeBob Mr. Krabs Mini Cable Guy is perfect for fans of SpongeBob SquarePants who want to add a bit of character to their homes.
