Haikyu!! Fly High is a new volleyball sports sim based on the iconic anime
  • Haikyu!! Fly High is an upcoming release inspired by the iconic anime series, pre-registration is now open
  • It's coming to North America, Europe and beyond courtesy of Garena
  • Recruit and build a team of your favourite characters to take to the court

If you were an anime fan during the mid-2010s to 2020s you probably recall that, aside from the big three, one of the most well-beloved Shonen series during that time was Haikyu!! And now, fans can once more step back into the world of these loveable, devoted athletes with the upcoming Haikyu!! Fly High that's now set to arrive soon as worldwide pre-registration opens!

While the idea of an anime entirely devoted to volleyball sounds like the set-up to a joke, Haikyu is anything but with its mix of action and character-driven drama. Following the duo of Shoyo Hinata and Tobio Kageyama, rivals turned friends, it chronicles their dedication to becoming pro volleyball players.

As you might expect, Haikyu!! Fly High lets you collect the various characters featured in the series to build your own volleyball team. But this is no mere 2D stat-em-up, as you'll be able to engage in fully 3D battles on the court, controlling individual players and managing team tactics as you would in a full-fledged sports simulator.

Pre-registration is now live for Haikyu!! Fly High, with it confirmed to be arriving in North America, Latin America, Europe and Southeast Asia. Aside from those fully-realised 3D visuals, when you get your mitts on Haikyu!! Fly High for iOS and Android you'll also be able to watch your players using their signature moves from the series to carry the game.

Suffice it to say then, Haikyu!! Fly High is another indicator of how anime-inspired releases are pushing the envelope in fully-realised 3D simulations of their series. It's a far cry (but no guarantee of being as popular as) old-school releases like One Piece: Treasure Cruise.
