OrangePixel releases major Gulp update on Android Market
New and improved menu
OrangePixel has just been in contact to let us know about a major update to its Android gobble-‘em-up, Gulp.
We rather liked Gulp when we reviewed it back in February but, at the risk of stretching the food analogy to breaking point, we thought it was more of a light snack than a full blown meal.
Now the developer has added plenty of meaty morsels to flesh the game out a bit. Here’s a full run down of the new features:
- Enhanced backgrounds with a new style – now much more interesting and most of them are fullscreen animated
- More animation in general
- Added gameplay elements like special items and fruity collectables
- Balanced gameplay, which has led to an unavoidable leaderboard reset – get your high-score up there quick!
- More sound effects
- Couple of small bugs and gameplay annoyances have been removed
- Better help screen added
- New level included, bringing the total to five
Check out the Gulp website for more info.
There’s also a lite version of the game available featuring the first level, so now seems to be the perfect time to give the game a taste.
In the meantime, take a look at the new and improved Gulp in action in this new video.
