Or to the Vita?

Atlus releasing new SRPG Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time in the US, but will it ever come to Europe?

Atlus has announced on the US PlayStation Blog that it is releasing a new strategy-RPG game on the PSP in North America on July 31st.

Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time will actually be the fourth instalment in the popular Growlanser series, but it has a self-contained story which makes it an ideal title for a freestanding port.

In Wayfarer of Time, you take control of Crevaniel, a silent protagonist who leads a band of humans against the incursions of angels heaven-bent on oppressing humanity. During the course of the game, you follow one of three story paths that lead to 40 possible endings.

You read that correctly: there are 40 (!!) possible endings.

Next stop, the PS Vita?

In the US PlayStation Blog post, Atlus notes that Growlanser: The Wayfarer of Time won't be compatible with the PS Vita at launch, but that Vita owners should remain patient.

Gungir, Atlus's most recent PSP port for North America, didn't feature Vita support at launch, either, but it will receive it on August 7th.
