A wholesome and adorable romp through space

Growbot lets you save your space station across a point-and-click adventure, out now
  • Help Nara the growbot rescue her home
  • Stunning hand-drawn visuals
  • Charming narrative and eccentric characters

Nara the titular growbot is kicking off her quest to save her home today, as Growbot officially launches on iOS and Android. Given it's from the makers of The Longing - a not-so-idle game that completely ruined me in the best way possible - I don't doubt this adorable point-and-click adventure is also going to be memorable, and I'm not the only one as Jack's glowing review proves.

In Growbot, you'll try your best to protect your home from malevolent crystalline forces, all presented with lovely hand-drawn visuals across a 2D world. The biopunk space station you're in is a colourful character in itself, as it's filled with enchanting plants and aliens that you'll encounter along the way.

As you work to repair the machinery to try and save your home, you'll also need to use a bit of brain power to solve puzzles. You can collect the sounds of flowers too, then combine them to form shields that'll help you on your journey.

With musician Jessica Fichot's tunes serenading you in the background and artwork by award-winning illustrator Lisa Evans, Growbot certainly looks and feels to be an evocative adventure. Although if you're looking for something similar, why not have a look at our list of the best point-and-click games on Android?

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Growbot on the App Store or on Google Play. It's a premium purchase at $3.99 a pop or your local equivalent.

You can also join the community of followers on the official YouTube channel to stay updated on all the latest developments, visit the official website for more info, or take a little peek at the embedded clip above to get a feel of the vibes and visuals.
