Retro classic Grand Theft Auto 3 updated with iCloud support, custom radio stations, and more

The 10th Anniversary edition of Grand Theft Auto 3 has been out on iOS for well over a year now, so - to be honest - none of us here at Pocket Gamer Towers expected to be writing any more news about it.

We were all wrong.

Rockstar has just updated its Gold Award-winning crime epic with support for the iPhone 5's widescreen display, customisable radio stations, and iCloud integration.

It's not the biggest update in the world, sure, but the ability to build your own playlists and listen to them while you go on murderous crime sprees around the alleys and highways of Liberty City is very welcome.

And being able to pick up and continue your criminal career on whatever iOS device is handy is a pretty neat touch, too.

If you're not familiar with Grand Theft Auto 3, this violent opus was the first 3D title in the GTA series, angered many a tabloid, and in one fell swoop popularised the sandbox genre.

You can purchase the newly updated Grand Theft Auto 3 from the App Store right now for £2.99 / $4.99 [buy]. Let's see if you've got the chops to make it in the underworld, boss.
