Grand Mountain Adventure is a laid-back snowboarding and skiing game where you can explore a large, snowy open world. You can participate in different challenges and travel to different parts of the mountain along the way or just go at your own leisure.

In some ways, it has a nice little mix of Alto's Oddysey and STEEP. AO due to its fun, bite-sized point of view and STEEP due to its big, snowy mountains. It's a really good game whether you're a sports fan or not and is solid for if you need to cleanse your mind a bit.

There's a lot to explore and things to uncover during your adventures. It seems pretty straightforward but there are some things you can keep in mind. There aren't a mind-blowing amount of settings, but there are a few interesting ones to take note of, and that's what we're talking about in this article.

Graphics Settings

More and more in mobile games, we're seeing cool graphical settings that allow us to fine-tune the game to our liking. The same goes for Grand Mountain Adventure and it's very useful. What makes this nice is that, no matter what device you're using, you can still get the full GMA experience without worry.

In settings, you can tweak the frame rate and go with 30fps or bump it up to an impressive 60fps which is all of the rage on other gaming platforms. No matter what you choose, the quality of the gameplay will be solid and will fit the style of device you're playing on.

Then there's resolution which you can have at low, normal, or high. This, of course, will adjust the smoothness of movements, similar to the frame rates. Definitely feel free to tweak this to your liking. Last but not least you have the graphics "Quality" setting. This helps with the textures of the environment and such among other things. You can choose low or high here. Whether you feel you're having stability problems or just want to change things up, head into settings and play around with the graphics.

Controller/Tablet Support

If you're a mobile gamer who rolls with a tablet (very popular among mobile gamers) or likes to use a controller, then you're in luck, as there are a couple of settings you can change to help support what you have in Grand Mountain Adventure. Just head into the settings menu and enable "Extra Tablet Buttons" if you use an Android tablet or iPad. This will give you more control over your device.

Controller mobile gamers can rejoice as you can connect your favorite controller and enable the feature in settings to enjoy the game in a different way. Or, perhaps you're a touch player but are just curious about playing with a controller. You can do that too.

No matter your control preference, you have some options to work with. Turn these on and see how you like them. Feel free to experiment a little bit. Even if you have a tablet, you still may prefer the phone setting instead but definitely take a look.

Set Audio to Your Liking

Some games have a set amount of music but in Grand Mountain Adventure, you can select the style you want. No, you can't choose whatever you want, but there are a few sets of music you can select in the settings section.

This is obviously something that is all about preference and has nothing to do with performance. But at least you can switch it up whenever you want which is good. A major part of GMA is the ambiance and the laid back music that plays as you go down the slopes.

Find the music set that best fits your mood. Once you do, then you can really immerse yourself into the world, as sound can really have an extra effect. If music isn't really your thing, you can also turn it off and enjoy the sounds of the winter wonderland and skis or snowboards sliding through the snow.
