#1 - Lucius + Catherin + Alphone (Best Gordian Quest F2P team)
If you are a new player who's just starting and still hasn't decided if you want to buy the full version or not, this is the best Gordian Quest team you can put together. It consists of only free champions that are available even in the demo.
Lucius
Lucius is perfect for standing strong on the front line of your team. He’s like a tank, meaning he can take hits and dish out big sword attacks. Lucius loves the STR stat, which makes him harder to knock down and, at the same time, boosts his melee damage.He’s got awesome moves to start battles strong, as well as crowd control. Lucius works great with teammates who buff or heal him. For this team, you want to pick the Lucius "Veteran" deck. He will be your primary tank and secondary DPS (at least during the early stages).
Catherin
Catherin is a Cleric who can do a little bit of everything, making her perfect for new players! She’s a great healer, a good buffer, and even a semi-DPS. Unlike other Clerics who just heal, Catherin can also deal damage. She can be a strong fighter, cast magic spells, or focus on keeping everyone healthy and buffed. It's rare to find a character that's so useful for both attack and defence!For this team, pick "Mender" as Catherin's starting deck. Her role will be as the primary healer and secondary tank.
Alphonse
Alphonse is a Scoundrel hero who’s all about fast attacks, sneaky moves, and grabbing extra cards - as you can tell, he's an Assassin. He’s great at burst damage and taking out important targets quickly.He needs to move smartly on the battlefield to stay safe, since survivability isn't one of his strengths. He can heal himself when he kills enemies, which means he has decent sustain. On top of that, he gets even stronger with a few buffs from his teammates. He’s like a glass cannon, so you have to play him carefully. For this team, go with Alphonse's "Scoundrel" deck.

#2 - Kudo + Alphonse + Catherin (Best Gordian Quest team)
This team isn't really available for new players, but since we are talking about the best teams in Gordian Quest, I just had to include it.
Before we break down how this team works, I need to give credit to Javier Cortijo Fernandez's YouTube channel, since that's what inspired it. If you want, you can go check out his video on how this team performs on Realm 80 Hard Mode, and that's proof enough of the team's strength.
Team breakdown
In this team, Catherin is your frontline tank and healer. As I explained on the previous page, she can do a little bit of everything, making her a highly versatile hero. So, use her heals when needed.Kudo's role is that of a debuffer who also acts as your secondary DPS, and Alphonse is your primary DPS.
The whole idea behind this build is to have Kudo debuff multiple enemies so that Alphonse can then clear the entire enemy board in a single turn. Of course, to get to that point, you have to build Alphonse a certain way.
I'd recommend starting with Catherin's Cleric deck. As for Alphonse, you want to go for the Rogue deck (spec DEX). For Kudo, you want to go for the Tormentor deck.
When it comes to the talents, you want to prioritise "+ Max Draw".
