As mentioned last month, Golf Squared is a golf game that appears to have got the art of side-scrolling iron and wood play down to a tee.

Though the graphics may look a little *cough* rough around the edges at first glance, it soon becomes apparent that all the scenery and background are made of squares - hence, the name of the game.

The idea is to get the ball in the hole in as few shots as possible, although this isn't as simple as it sounds.

From their bunkers and water traps to oddly shaped terrain, the later levels, in particular, may well end up giving you a stroke. Hopefully that won't 'putt' you off, mind!

If you're an iPhone or iPad user, give it a try and see if it's on a par with the likes of Worms Crazy Golf and Let's Golf! 3. The game costs 69p / $0.99 (not 'fore' pounds, as you might expect).

Android users will be green with envy, for the game hasn't come to Google Play yet. Never fear, though: we're told it'll be on the (fair)way sometime soon.
